John joined Liberty in 2014 and has over 15 years' M&A experience. He has advised management teams across a wide range of sectors, including technology, financial services, business services and consumer. This gives him a deep understanding of what is market and what is negotiable.

He makes sure those teams are fairly represented and appropriately incentivised as the business enters its next stage. He enjoys negotiating with investors, and knows how hard to push to get them the best possible outcome. He translates complex financial structures into clear, practical language, so management fully understand the equity terms and can engage with them confidently.
