Liberty advises the management team of Specialist Risk Group (SRG) on it’s acquisition by Warburg Pincus and Temasek Holdings
Liberty Corporate Finance is delighted to announce that they have advised the management team of SRG, the insurance industry intermediary, on the investment by Warburg Pincus, a private equity firm focused on growth, and Temasek.
The partnership with these new investors aims to support SRG’s growth plans and strategy, with SRG’s management team retaining a significant stake in the company.
SRG was founded in January 2020 under the leadership of Group CEO Warren Downey and Group Deputy CEO Lee Anderson. The company currently employs over 600 people and manages premiums exceeding £1billion. A combination of strong organic growth and a series of strategic investments and acquisitions has seen SRG grow dramatically into the natural home for specialist people and businesses since its inception.
Liberty advised the management team including Warren, Lee and Joe Hanly (CFO) on all aspects of their re-investment and management incentive arrangements in the new structure.
We enjoyed working with Liberty, and are happy to recommend them to management teams in a similar position.
